Shaking Hands

36 years of experience in helping you resolve parenting plans, property, debt and support issues without operating in Court.

I was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1973 and have practiced law continuously in the mid-Willamette Valley since then, primarily in the areas of family law, adoption, guardianship and conservatorship and estate planning and administration.  Over the 37 years that I have practiced law, I estimate that I have tried more than 3,000 cases as an attorney.

In 1981, when mediation was brand new in the northwest, I took mediation training with the Academy of Family Mediators, and have practiced mediation continuously since then.  I was a member of the organizing board of directors of the Oregon Mediation Association, and was appointed by Governor John Kitzhaber to serve two terms on the Oregon Dispute Resolution Commission.  I helped found, and served for ten years, on the mediation programs for the Benton County and Linn County Circuit Courts.  I have served as an arbitrator in about 300 cases in the domestic relations arbitration program for the Linn County Circuit Court.

In the 29 years that I have practiced as a mediator, I believe that I have mediated something more than 1200 cases.
